EPIA 2026 invites submissions to the Student Symposium (SSEPIA 2026), to be held as part of the conference. We welcome submissions from PhD and MSc students with ongoing work in any area of Artificial Intelligence, including, but not limited to, the main conference thematic tracks.
The symposium provides a forum for students to present and discuss their research in a supportive and interactive environment, fostering discussion, constructive feedback, and interaction with experienced researchers. It also offers participants the opportunity to learn about the work of other students at a similar stage of their graduate studies or with related research interests.
APPIA will offer a limited number of scholarships to support the participation of APPIA student members.
Submissions must be authored by a single author, who must be a student, and prepared in English using the Springer LNCS/LNAI format. They should be up to 6 pages long, including references, and submitted in PDF via the conference submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=epia2026).
Submissions should clearly present the research problem, position the work with respect to the state of the art, describe the proposed approach and expected contributions and include, when available, already obtained results. They should also include the start date of the degree and the expected end date.
The submission must include a letter from the advisor(s) declaring that they agree with the presentation of the work submitted.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the Student Symposium Program Committee under a single-blind review process; therefore, author names and affiliations must be included, along with advisor(s) information provided as a footnote on the first page.
Each accepted student will be assigned a mentor (a senior AI researcher), who will provide feedback at the symposium.
All accepted submissions will be included in a separate informal proceedings volume, distinct from the main EPIA 2026 proceedings.
